🕊️ Rejiform Cut Art of Lord Buddha – A Wesak Special Tribute
Wesak, also known as Vesak or Buddha Purnima, is one of the most sacred festivals in the Buddhist calendar. It marks the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Lord Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha. In honor of this special occasion, I created a unique Rejiform Cut Drawing and Painting of Lord Buddha – blending spiritual devotion with artistic creativity.
🎨 What is Rejiform Cut Art?
Rejiform cut art is a paper cutting technique that combines negative space and layered outlines to create intricate, shadow-style artwork. Unlike traditional drawing, Rejiform art requires precision cuts and careful design layout, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
In this artwork, I used the Rejiform method to depict Lord Buddha in serene meditation, surrounded by symbols of peace and enlightenment. The final painting adds gentle colors to bring the cut lines to life – perfect for the calm energy of Wesak.
